Your data

A plain-English breakdown of exactly what Helm stores about you, who can read it, where it lives, and how to get it or delete it.

Only you can read it

No one but you can read what you keep in Helm — your account holds the only key.

Here is what that means in everyday terms. Everything you put into Helm — your to-dos, your notes, your boards — is locked before it is stored. The lock is called encryption. It turns your words into scrambled text that means nothing to anyone who does not have the key.

The key belongs to your account. Every account has a key of its own, and no other account's key opens yours. When you sign in, your account unlocks your content and you see it just as you wrote it. Helm uses your key only to show your content to you and to the people you share a board with, and to do the jobs you ask it to do. Anyone who got hold of what Helm stores without your account — a stranger, or someone who broke into the computers it is kept on — would see only scrambled text.

What you tell our agents stays between you

Even our agents work with agent-client privilege: whatever you tell them or share with them stays between you and them.

Helm's agents are the helpers that write your daily brief, sort your to-dos and take on the jobs you hand them. You may know the idea of privilege from lawyers: what a client tells their lawyer stays between the two of them. Our agents work the same way.

So whatever you type to an agent, and anything you share with one — a to-do, a note, a plan for your day — is used to do the job you asked for, and is kept with your account so you can see what the agent did. It is not shown to Memriq's team, it is not kept in the records of your visits, and it is never used to teach the agent anything for anyone else.

Your boards are yours

Your boards are yours. Nobody else who uses Helm can open them unless you share a board with them, and you can stop sharing at any time.

Here is what that means in everyday terms. Everything you put into Helm — your to-dos, your notes, your boards — belongs to your account. When someone else signs in to Helm, they see their own boards, never yours. A board reaches another person only when you share it with them or invite them to it, and you can stop sharing it, or withdraw an invitation, whenever you like.

What you teach the agent stays yours

When you correct Helm's agent, it learns for you alone. What you teach it is never used on anyone else's to-dos.

When you tell Helm's agent it got something wrong, it remembers that for you: for one board, for one kind of to-do, or for everything you do. It never carries one person's lessons over to anyone else.

What happens to what you give the agent

When you hand the agent a to-do, the to-do and anything you tell it are sent to OpenAI's AI models to do the work, and kept with your account so you can see what it did. Memriq's team is never shown what you asked. To decide what the agent should learn next, we see only the kinds of help several people wanted that it could not give, named by each person's own agent, never in their words.

Where it lives, and how it travels

Your to-dos and boards are kept in the United States, and everything travels between your device and Helm over a secure connection.

Your boards and to-dos are stored on computers in the United States. And whenever your phone or computer talks to Helm, it uses a secure connection, so no one on the same Wi-Fi can read what passes between you and Helm.

What we store

DataWhy we store it
Email address and nameYour account, and signing you in
Google profile picture and account IDSigning you in with Google
Boards, to-dos, sub-tasks and remindersKeeping your board on every device you use
Your daily briefShowing you today's brief
What you give the agent, and what it gives backDoing the job, and showing you the result
Calendars you attach, and events you turn into to-dosPutting your calendar and your to-dos on one screen
Which views you use, and how much of your plan you have usedRunning your plan, and choosing which views to keep
Records of your visit — pages, timings and errors, never your to-dosFinding and fixing problems

The records of your visit are the pages you open, how long they take and any errors — none of what Helm showed you. If something breaks, or you send us feedback, they also include a replay of the last 30 seconds on your screen with every word hidden, so we can see where you clicked but not what you read. They carry your email address, and Memriq's team reads them when fixing a problem.

What we do not store

  • Your Google password — we never receive it.
  • Payment card details — never stored by Helm. If you buy Helm Pro, the card is entered on Stripe's checkout page and handled by Memriq's billing platform (Vault); Helm keeps only which plan you are on and how much of your allowance you have used.

Export your data

Sign in and open Accounts, then choose “Download this account’s data”. The file arrives in your browser straight away and covers every Helm record the account holds. You can also ask us for it by emailing [email protected], and we will send a JSON export within 30 days.

Delete your data

Sign in and open Accounts, then choose “Close this account” and type the account’s email to confirm. It deletes every Helm record that account holds and the records of your visits, and any account linked to it is left untouched. It does not yet reach your billing history. You can ask us to remove that, or to do the whole thing for you, by emailing [email protected], which removes your personal data within 30 days.
